Dealing with Difficult Participants

Do you find yourself really stretched, and sometimes flustered, when handling difficult and challenging delegates in your training sessions?

Would you like a good strategy in your skill base for dealing with a variety of challenging delegates?

Would it be useful for you to be able to have the confidence and ability to "think and act on your feet" when faced with a challenging delegate or situation?

Then the Dealing with Difficult Delegates workshop is your answer.

This is a fast paced 3-hour workshop concentrating solely on handling difficult delegates and situations. You will go away with a specific strategy for dealing with a variety of challenges - this will be practised and discussed to provide you with confidence to continue your development after the workshop.

The session is very active, practical and fun and the main focus is to encourage you, as trainers, to deal with unusual, difficult or challenging situations in your sessions plus the how, why, what, where and when of it.

All examples and activities used during the session will have relevance to your own training which will ensure you have a strategy to use immediately within your workshops - the session price includes a Kit Bag for every delegate to take away.

This workshop is ideal for the personal development of any trainer, teacher or facilitator plus an excellent resource to take away and train your own delegates.

Do not forget all our workshops are designed for 3 levels of learning:

Level 1 - is for you to personally learn new information to become a better trainer/facilitator

Level 2 - is for you to use the skills to help coach/mentor other colleagues in the learning and development arena

Level 3 - is for you to use the information to put into your own workshops - these specific sessions will help you design your own workshops to be delivered

So you can choose a level you wish to develop.

Ice Breaker Delegates describe their names with one adjective in front of it starting with the same letter as their first name. A theme can be given to the group for example different types of Living Accommodation i.e. Detached David, Caravan Caroline, Bungalow Bill, Hotel Helen, Penthouse Peter, Mansion Maggie etc.

The trainer can pin two or three pieces of flip chart paper onto the wall around the room, the delegates can all go up and draw their names. Then the trainer needs to guess the names connected to the houses.
