Product Description

What is Pick a Penguin?

This great activity specifically designed for The Training Shop has hundreds of uses in the creative training room all for one great price. Plus they're really cute too!

The pack contains 12 stress penguins, each one 5cm tall and printed with numbers 1 - 12 on their tummies. The penguins are housed in their very own drawstring cotton bag for easy transport and to help prevent loss.

We're sure you will find many uses of your own but here are a few ideas to be going on with:

Would you like an easy way for your delegates to pick their order to take turns in activities in a fair, uncomplicated and diplomatic manner? For example, when they are practising presentation skills or presenting their learning summaries.

Pick a Penguin could be just the answer - pass the bag around, dib in and pick a penguin.

Pick a Penguin is also great for getting people into teams - all the odds and even numbers together.

As an icebreaker - place all the penguins in the middle of each table. Ask each person to pick one and then to think of some way they can relate that number to themselves.

Price per complete set with drawstring cotton bag and a laminated activity sheet with loads more ideas.

Great idea!
"I 've been using these on every course I run and delegates love them! Great for reviews (delegates pick out a penguin and go in order of picking) and for making up teams (1-6 in team A, 7-12 in team B). Delegates love them becaus ethey are cute. But watch out. I've had to order a new set because some people have liked them so much they have taken them home with them! I've lost numbers 3, 7 and 9! If you keep your eyes on them and collect them all up straight after an activity, you shouldn't have a problem."

Pick a Penguin
"These penguins are ideal if a trainer wants to lighten up any group selection process in a random, and amusing, way to avoid being accused of manipulating the process. Any course that requires an assessment process would lend itself to the pick a penguin approach. If the idea is to encourage participants to read some essential material they could be used to select a page, or chapter to be summarised by an individual. Their use is only limited by the trainer's imagination."
